Position Summary:
The ideal candidate is a team player who will wear two hats; first, be responsible for analyzing social media metrics and survey data in order to effectively position SML in the advertising marketplace; second, take that information and craft it into compelling, stand-alone presentations. S/he will be responsible for making presentations that analyze specific research information. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the execution of weekly reports, as well as for the production of PowerPoint presentations that allow for easy and fast interpretation of our marketing programs' results.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills necessary to successfully fulfill the requirements of this role:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to make a clear case for suggestions based on the data and research.
• Strong logic skills - ability to turn numbers into stories that to which clients can understand and respond; ability to interpret data essential.
• Time Management - this fast-paced position requires careful time management in order to ensure the completion of projects in a timely fashion while also setting realistic expectations for delivery.
• Intellectual Curiosity -- this position requires a pro-active, independent thinker with high energy/positive attitude and a burning desire to learn
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree (Business, Marketing, or quantitative field preferred)
• 1+ year ad sales and/or media research experience
• Advanced level Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
• Attention to detail is a requirement, not an option - quality and accuracy in your work is essential
• Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills; must have the ability to position research data in a creative and concise manner
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required -- a great team player
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Must have an interest in, and a working knowledge of, social media, as well as a basic understanding of the media sales process. Must be current on events in the social media industry.
