Flying Point Media, a full service interactive marketing agency and one of the top 20 search engine marketing firms in the United States, is looking for a bright, energetic recent college graduate to join its Search Engine Optimization (SEO) department.
Search Marketing is one of the most effective forms of online marketing, because consumers are actively searching for relevant products or services. Search Marketing has seen tremendous growth in the past decade and is slated to become a $26 billion industry by 2014.
Flying Point Media offers a PAID SEO internship to recent college graduates who want to pursue an exciting internet marketing career. Comprehensive training will be provided, and the SEO intern will work on multiple optimization projects with real customer impact.
Job Responsibilities SEO Intern
Perform daily SEO tasks as assigned by manager, which may include:
o Writing META tags
o Submitting URLs to directory sites
o Bookmarking pages on Digg, Furl, Mr. Wong, Folkd and other social bookmarking sites
o Collecting search metrics and aggregating them in a spreadsheet for use by the team
o Other data collection and bulk submission tasks as needed
Complete all required training
Independently research current SEO methodologies to supplement on-the-job training in order to broaden SEO skill set
Contribute to team development by monitoring and sharing industry news
Qualifications:
Must have demonstrated ability to handle large, complex projects
Must have worked and be comfortable with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Must have quantitative analytical skills numbers should excite you, not scare you
Must love data (bonus points if you have an interesting data story to tell)
Must have demonstrable passion for Internet Marketing or Internet culture yes, running Facebook fan pages counts!
This PAID internship position is a 4-month engagement that has a direct path to full time employment for the right candidate.
