Part-time Administrative/Marketing Intern at High-Growth Printing & Display Company (Midtown West)

We are a quickly growing printing and display company, and we are seeking an intelligent, energetic, and ambitious part-time/temp admin marketing intern.

The internship provides exposure to all facets of running a successful business, and has a primary focus on the following:
- 50% in operations and administrative support (phone & email)
- 50% in market research, business analysis, technology and account management / sales support

Our normal hours of operation are 9am to 5pm, 5 days a week, however a flexible schedule with the ability to work late as needed is a necessity.
We need someone to work Monday through Thursday only for 4 months from the beginning of February to end of May. The position pays $12 per hour.

- Be able to communicate professionally in writing, on the phone, and in person.

- Be able to work with all types of people and bring a sense of humor.
- Possess strong computer skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel and proficiency at using the Internet for research)
- Be available to work a minimum 4 days a week.

The ideal candidate would also:
- Be a recent college graduate.
- Possess Fashion experience/ knowledge.
- Be able to commute easily to Midtown Manhattan.
- Be able to work fluently in English (bilingual a plus, not necessary)
- Be open minded and willing to take on various projects.
- Possess a flexible schedule with the ability to work late as needed.

This opportunity will most likely be a great fit for self-motivated, high-achieving college graduate.

Administrative Responsibilities include:

-Creating purchase orders and following up on the status of open orders.
-Closing out orders and preparing the paperwork for AR & AP processing.
-Maintaining an online Google docs Production Schedule in Excel format.
-Maintaining an online Google docs Group calendar for staff scheduling.
-Performing lite data entry, filing, faxing and scheduling appointments.
-Preparing outgoing packages and generating shipping labels.
-Performing other job related duties as required.

Marketing Responsibilities include:
-Ability to CREATE sales/marketing support materials to include, but not limited to postcards, sell sheets, brochures, and overall media kit
containing the above items assembled with a pocket folder with a self-running PowerPoint presentation CD.
-Engage and cultivate our communities on social media networking platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Linked In & YouTube
-Monitor, track and analyze all our social media properties
-Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to take initiative
-Strong computer skills (Word, Excel PowerPoint, etc.)
-Team player in a small team environment
- EXCELLENT writing skills (submit writing samples with application)
-Accuracy -Speed, Speed, Speed!!!!!
-Able to dedicate at least 30 hours/week

Our office is conveniently located on Broadway & 37th Street, and easily accessible by the A, C, E, N, Q, R, B, D, F, M, 1, 2, 3, 7 subway lines,
Path Train, LIRR and Metro North. We're a few blocks away from beautiful Bryant Park and surrounded by good bars and restaurants.
