PASSPORT is the # 1 Gay and Lesbian Travel Magazine in America.
As our sales and marketing intern you will be assisting both our Publisher and Marketing Manager and receive hands on experience in the day to day operation of the marketing and sales department of a magazine.
Duties will include:
Telephone and internet researching of potential advertising leads.
Coordinating with clients to insure timely delivery of both advertising materials and items for sponsored events.
Scheduling shipments to sponsored events.
Copywriting of some Promotional and Public Relations materials.
General Office assistance (answering phones, running errands).
Representing PASSPORT magazine at public events with other staff members.
Job Skills:
Proficiency with all aspects of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.).
Knowledge of Customer Contact management software (such as Filemaker Pro) a plus
Excellent spelling and grammar.
Excellent phone manner.
Ability/willingness to lift 30lb boxes of magazines when necessary.
Extremely well organized and a self-starter.
